Digital Measurement
Digital measurement is replacing traditional methods of measurement. The goal of this technology is develop a large assortment of products based on digital design. There is a unlimited field of applications that offer low power consumption with ease of operation for the end user. Digital technology lends itself to products designed with multiple functions in the same device. 57 Degrees has the capability to design and manufacture the entire product giving our customer base a total solution.
Primary applications to date are proximity sensors, motion detectors, stud finders / metal detectors, angle finders, distant measurement and speed measurement. These products are developed using different types of sensors in their design phase. There are four typical sensors designed into digital measurement devices, variable resistor sensors, capacitive, ultrasonic and optical. Frequent applications are linear displacement, angle displacement, angle finder, depth gauge, digital tape and material detection.
