External Power Conversion

The external power segment of the industry still maintains an unparalleled array of desktop and wall plug-in switch-mode power supplies. 57 Degrees is continually raising the design bar to drive power to higher levels (200 watts and beyond) in smaller mechanical packages while maintaining thermal and EMI requirements for all application.

Constructed in a black polycarbonate case measuring 4.22 in. (L) X 2.60 in. (W) X 1.51 in. (H), the charger weighs 13 ounces and has an IEC 320-with-ground configuration. It carries safety agency approvals for UL 1950, CSA950 and TUV/EN60950. Modified and custom designs also are available to meet specific OEM requirements.

Portable electronic products are increasing in popularity as OEMs respond to requests for smaller, easy-to-transport and operate-anywhere devices. Battery-operated products answer the need by eliminating the need for power outlets and expanding the use of electronics to virtually anywhere --- on vacation, in a car or in the backyard.

Linear Power Supplies

Linear power supplies are quite popular for electronic applications that require low output power --- generally less than 25 watts. They are also well suited for OEM products that are distributed into single geographic market segments since these power supplies do not have a universal input voltage range. 57 Degrees linear power supplies are available in regulated or unregulated models with single or multiple outputs.
